KNOW THE LORD YOUR GOD

Know the God of your father, and serve him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord God searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts, if you seek him, he will let you find him, but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever, (1chorn c28:v9), now set your heart and soul to seek the Lord your God, (1chorn c22:v19), and you shall call upon his name and pray to him, and he will listen to you, when you seek him you shall find him when you search for him with all your heart, (jer c29:v12-v13, deut c4:v29).

The fulfillment of the first commandment is the beginning of wisdom and the coming to the knowledge of the truth! from the first day of man’s creation it was the Lord God’s intention to form a relationship with his creation, if one goes back to the very beginning it is revealed that the Lord God not only created man but created him in his own image and likeness; (gen c1:v27), it is recorded that the Lord walked in the garden in the cool of the day, revealing that he once had fellowship with Adam before man’s fall from grace, (gen c3:v8), when one reads the scriptures it becomes apparent that the Lord God desires a reconilation with his creation, for repeatedly he calls for man to repent from his rebellious way and the forsaking of the world, the flesh and the devil, yet this reconcilation between the Lord God and man has only been made possible through love, by the grace of Elyon himself, the Most High God! yet inspite of this pouring out of his love, man seem’s to believe that it’s the Lord God’s duty to receive him in through the gates of heaven, but this is self deception through the lack of knowledge of the Lord God, for which the blame can only be laid at the feet of man himself, man may live but a few years upon this earth, but he has managed to crame his mind and life with the natural rather than the spiritual, having convince himself that the teachings of the Lord God are for the after life, ignoring all that is Holy and Righteous before the Lord God, even within christiandom the masses have convince themselves that by saying they are christian is enough to satisfy a Holy God, yet the same people would laugh at another, if they said they where a tree? The problem also arises from a lack of revernce towards the Lord God for to most in society he is viewed as god o matey rather than 'God Almighty'.

It is the Lord God’s desire for his children to know him intimately, not just to say that you love him, but to walk, talk and eat with him in close fellowship, this is the kind of relationship that the Lord requires and seeks, to develop.

To form a relationship with the Lord God you must come to an understanding of the person of God, and in Genesis we shall find that the Lord God is a “Living Being”, who has intellect, who can speak, who has breath, who has hands, who can walk, who has compassion, who has a Heart, who displays emotions, shows fellings, has eyes, and a nose, he can smell aroma’s, he has ears and can hear, he is a genius, he knows grieve and sorrow, and that he laughs, etc, (gen c1:v3, c2:v7-v18, c3:v8, c6:v3-v8, c8:v21, c16:v11, john c1; ps 59:v8, these are some of the Attibutes and Properties of the Lord God, he is also a father to his children who provides, discipines, rebukes, chastises, feeds, clothes, protects, exults, he loves, he hates, he can bless, and he can curse, he can destroy or make whole, he can anoint or disapoint, he can be a friend or an enemy.

We as the children of God must understand that he is Holy, Righteous, Just, Merciful, Awesome (ominpotence), all powerful (omnipresence), and that he is everywhere (omniscience), he knows all things, he is the eternal one (Jehovah), he is truth (Immutability), he is the Most High God, (Elyon, the Father), he is the creator, (Elohim, the Son), and he is the Living God, (Eloah, the Holy spirit), and we must treat the Lord God Almighty with the upmost “reverence”, and must not take him or his name in vain or for granted, for the relationship between the Lord God and his children is one of Holiness and the hatred of sin, the Lord God wants a Holy people because he is a Holy God, the way to heaven is not an easy journey to take, for its gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few shall find it, (matt c7:v14).

The Lord God in his love forewarns those in society that their ways are not his ways nor is their thoughts his thoughts, even within christiandom it would appear to have a two tier structure, those who call themselves believers in Christ and those who are called disciples of Christ, the first group believe that Christ is the son of God, but they do not reflect his attitude nor do they walk in his spirit, for believing in it self shall not bring salvation to a person, for the demons believed in Christ and confessed that he was the Son of the Most High God, (matt c4:v3, mark c5:v7, luke c8:v28), yet they shall not receive salvation, it is not enough to just believe, for without repentance there cannot be forgives, which leads to salvation and the new birth, and the adoption into the family of God, for the scriptures clearly teach that a disciple of Christ Jesus is one who has dies to self, for no longer does the old man (nature) within reign, but the Christ.

For it is the disciple of Christ Jesus who reflects his nature and attitude, by living by his word and walking in his spirit, thus manifesting their relationship with him, it is easy to be decieved or for that matter to decieve oneself, and it is for this reason that we are warned to test the spirit, not only the spirit of another but also the spirit within, for if you do not manifest the nature and attitude of Christ Jesus within your christian walk, then you must examine your own conscience to see if you have a relationship with the lord god at all.

Remember the words of Christ Jesus, by this all men shall know that your mine, (john c13:v35, luke c11:v28), the problem within christiandom today is their lack of studying the bible thus they remain in ignorance and at a place were they form no relationship at all with the Lord God.

Bible study is vital for spiritual growth, the child of God must uderstand that studying the word of God not only feeds our soul but is a lamp to our feet, insuring the well being of our physical life, it is only when we come to this realization of God’s word that true knowledge rekindles the spirit within, giving brith to wisdom and the salvation of your soul, the word of God is the nucleus of the Father son relationship, (mark c13:v31, luke c21:v33 and is develop by the renewing of our mind, (rom c12:v1-v2), thus revealing the perfect will of the Lord God for our life, the story of creation reveals that the Lord God created man for fellowship, for when man fell from grace, the Lord God immediately opened a way for reconcilation between himself and man, no greater love has ever been displayed, than the love of God, in that he gave “his only begotten son” as a ransom for mans soul, (gen c3:v15), and a reconcilation were the child of God no longer calls upon the name of the Lord God, by calling him God! but “ABBA” (Father), (rom c8:v15, gal c4:v6), this relationship can be found throughout the new testament, for the disciple of Christ Jesus is called, child, babe, brother, sister, saint, son daughter priest and the brotherhood, (mark c3:v35, gal c4:v7, 1pet c2:v9).

It is within the scriptures that the Lord God reveals his attributes to his children so that they be consformed into the likeness of Christ Jesus who is the Image of God, (rom c8:v29, 2cor c4:v4, col c1:v15-v16).

(2cor c1:v20)Amen, (so be it), denotes complete acquiescence, and is used at the end of prayer, as a sincere wish to be heard, it is also translated "verily", and was used by Christ when uttering a solemn Truth, and in revelation, chapter 3:v14, it’s a title which is applied to Christ, by the Lord God Himself.

“EL, ELYON, ELOHIM, ELOAH,(gen c1:v1, deut c32:v15-17, gen c14:18-20, “the Holy Trinity”).

"EL" is God the Almighty, the omnipotent, all powerful, the exalted one, "Elohim", is God as the creator of all things, its first occurrence is found in genesis c1:v1, as the creator of creation, God putting his omnipotence into fruition, "El" is "Elohim" in all his strength and power.

"Eloah", is "Elohim", who is to be worshipped, Eloah, is essentially, "the living God", Eloah is associated with worship, (deut c32:v15-v17, 2chron c32:v15, eza c4:v24, job c9:v13, ps18:v31), "Elyon", the Most High God (God the Father), "El", the exalted one, Elyon is the bestower of all blessings, (gen c14:v18-v20, num c24:v16, isa c14:v14, ps18:v13).

It is impossible for man to comprehend the fullness of "God", it is one thing to see but a glimpse of the Glory of God, yet another thing to see the "God of Glory", (exod c33:v18-v23), "Elohim", spoke and creation came into fruition, without the lifting of one finger, yet "Elohim" in his great love towards man, not only created man in his own image, but created man with his own hands, and breathed his own spirit into him, (gen c2:v7), it was "Elohim" freewill to created man, the outpouring of his love unto man by his spirit, (the breath of life), and in the likeness of "Elohim", man had instilled in his soul the love of God, for "Elohim" is love, his love was not only expressed in the spoken word, but became flesh (the living word), (john c1:v1), Christ Jesus is the only begotten son,"Elohim the Redeemer", the Holy trinity cannot be seperated, ( john c10:v30,c14:v9-v11, c16:v13.

The all sufficient God, "The Giver", (exod c6:v3), the all powerful God, who can supply all our needs, "El-Shaddai" stresses the greatness of God, it does not represent him as a God of wrath, but as, the God of grace, Abraham was given the promise by "El Shaddai", that if he walked before him blameless, putting his faith in him, then "El shaddai" would bless him, and this promise is still as good today as it was in the days of Abraham, (2cor c6:v18, rev c1:v8 rev c11:v17, c15:v3, c16:v7, c21:v22).

First and the last (rev c1:v8-17, see Alpha and Omega).

Frist begotten of the dead (rev c1:v5, see resurrection).

<>First born of the dead, (rev c1:v5, see ressurection).

First of the dead (rev c1:v5), see ressurection).

Forerunner(precursor, heb c6:v20).

The Lord Jesus Christ the promise of the eternal blessing, the first born of the dead, in whom we have the assurance of full salvation, the forerunner who enters into the presence of the Father with the news “ It is finished", thy children come, (john c14:v3, rom c8: v15-v17), it is only through Christ that our hopes are realised, through him, in him, and by him, now we can approach the very throne of God, entering beyond the veil, (eph c2: v18-v19, heb c4:v16), he is the promise of our citizenship of the heavenly abode.

Foundation(conception, isa c28:v16).

He is the 'Rock' that brings forth living waters, (num c20:v10), the joy to a thirsty soul, for only in him is our hope and consolation realised, (rev c7:v16-v17).

Friend of sinners(grace, matt c11:v19).

Abraham was given the title, "Friend of God", (james c2:v23),because of his close relationship with God, but how marvellous and wonderful it is, when the saviour Christ Jesus calls you friend,(john c15:v13-v15), it is Grace upon Grace, no greater love has ever been given, than the love of God, which was demonstrated through the Lord Jesus, for when Christ hung on the cross, we see that God is love, (1john c4:v8),it was the Lord God who closed the gulf, (broken fellowship), between man and himself through Christ, (gen c3:v8-v24), this does not mean automatic salvation for all, but must be received as a gift by each individual (rom c5, eph c2: v1-v8), hence Christ Jesus is the 'friend of sinners',

Gift of God(Divine love, 2cor c9:v15).

The supreme Gift of God, Christ Jesus his son, the only begotten of the Father, in whom we find salvation, eternal life, in Christ Jesus was the pouring out of God’s love, to a world that deserved it not, this gift of his son is given freely to all, rich, poor, mighty and small, it cannot be brought or merited, it is the supreme and perfect gift which came down from heaven, for his grace was such, that though he was rich, yet for our sakes he became poor, that through his poverty we become rich, (i.e), rich in the love of God, (1tim c1:v17, 1cor c15:v57, james c1:v17).

God is love(perfection, 1john c4:v8-9).

Christ Jesus is the demonstration of God’s love towards us, for yet while we were sinners, God loved us, (rom c5:v8), Jesus Christ was God’s gift to a dying world, such was his love towards us, that he held nothing back, and even bore the humiliation of looking away, while his beloved son was mocked, beating and hung upon a cross as a spectacle for all to see, how could anyone neglect or reject, such a great gift as Christ Jesus, (rom c5: v15-v16, eph c2:v8), for greater love has no man, (john c15:v13).

Good shepherd (protector, john c10:v11)

Chief shepherd (provider, 1pet c5:v4)

Great shepherd (deliverer, ps 23)

One who lays down his life for the sheep, and as any good shepherd knows,if there is away to die, sheep shall find it, Christ Jesus is the good shepherd, for he not only cares for the sheep,he gave his life as a ransom for the sheep, for no greater love has anyone, than one who lays his life down for a friend, Christ Jesus the good and chief shepherd, the head of the church, such is his love that he reaches out for the lost sheep,to gather them into his fold, he is the great shepherd, who provides protects, heals, sanctifies, restores and leads his sheep to the house of the Lord, for he feeds not only the body, but also the soul, he knows the importance of feeding the soul, so that the light of his word may illuminate it, that we may be led by the narrow way, that of Righteousness and Holiness thus enabling us to worship the Lord God in spirit and truth (john c1:v4, c4:v23, c14:v1-v3, c15:v13).

Gracious(kindness, 1pet c2:v3).

In Christ Jesus we have received the fullness of the Father, grace upon grace,(john c1:v16, col c2:v9),he was meek and humble (matt c11:v29) and he revealed unto us a love that we did not deserve, even unto the ungrateful and evil he bestowed his love, (luke c6:v36), and upon the cross his love flowed unyielding, when he cried father forgive them, for they know not what they do, (luke c23:v34), greater love has never been revealed, than the love and kindness revealed in the person, of Christ Jesus, "love upon love".

Habitation(Dwelling place, ps91:v9).

The union (mystery) of the Father, Son, and Holy spirit and the believer, (child of God), (john c14:v20), those that have received the Lord Jesus as their saviour, (rev c3:v20), abide already within the Lord God Almighty, loved by the father, loved by the son, and loved by the Holy spirit, led by his spirit,(the spirit of truth),(john c16:v13), that revealed the son, and the son reveals the father, (john c14:v9-v10), bringing us into full knowledge that we are pilgrims passing through on our journey, to our heavenly abode, (heb c11:v13).

Harmless(Innocent, heb c7:v26).

Christ Jesus who was sinless and without blame, yet he was numbered with the transgressors, he received mockery, beatings, humiliation and death, and the out cry of the religious of his day, was that if they did nothing about this man called Jesus, then the whole world would follow after him and his teaching, (liberty) (isa c53, isa c61:v1, luke c4:v18-v19, luke c23:v46-v47, john c11:v48).

Heavenly Father(God Almighty, matt c6:v9).

Eternal Father when used by Christ, it denotes his relationship to the Lord God, as his "only begotten son", yet through Christ Jesus all who receive him as their saviour, to them is given the privilege of being adopted into the family of God, born again, a new creation, (titus c3:v5, 1pet c1:v23, 2cor c5:v17, it is through faith in Christ Jesus, that we receive the spirit of adoption, which then enables us to cry "Abba Father", (rom c8:v15).

"Abba", is aramaic for father, it implies a high degree of love, father son relationship, (mark c14:v36, gal c4:v6).

Heir of all things(son of man, heb c1:v2; ps89:v27).

The only begotten of the Father, greater than all that was ever created, Christ Jesus the son of the Almighty God, who was there when creation came into being, (gen c1, john c1), and who shall be there when all things are created a new, (2pet c3:v13).

There is very little said within scripture concerning the childhood of Jesus, but what is revealed, is the fact that at the age of twelve he astounded the Rabbi’s (teachers of the law) (luke c2: v43-v52).

The first recorded words of Christ Jesus where! 'I have come to do my Father’s will', (luke c2:v49), and after he had accomplished the Father’s will, (john c17:v4) his last words were, "It is finished", (john c19:v30).

Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, (isa c9:v6) and he is called "Wonderful"! the Holy one of God, (mark c1:v24).

Holy and righteous one(Christ, ps145:v17; acts c3:v14; jer c12:v1).

All our righteousness are as filthy rags, (isa c64:v6), it is sad to think that a righteous man would be put to death for a crime he did not commit, but how heinous it is when people cry for a murderer to be released, and an innocent man to be put to death in his place, yet this was exactly what happened in the case of Christ Jesus, (acts c3:v14-v15), but because he was obedient to the will of his Father (the Most High God ), many were made righteous through him, (rom c5:v20), he is our Advocate before the Father, it is our faith in Christ Jesus who is called the Holy and righteous one, the only begotten son of God, that we who believe have been restored to a right relationship to the Lord God, our faith in Christ is looked upon by the Father as righteousness, (rom c4:v3, gal c3:v6) for within ourselves we had no hope, but in Christ our hope is realised (1tim c1:v1).

Christ Jesus is the fulfilment of the old dispensational period, he is the 'Great High Priest' of all who believe in him and accept him as saviour, he is from the priesthood of Melchizedek (gen c14: v17-v20), Melchizedek was a type of Christ, little is known about him, other than he was a king and priest, and that he was appointed directly by the Lord God, (heb c7:v21-v26).

Melchizedek: means "king of Righteousness" the Melchizedek priesthood was superior to the Levitical priesthood, (aaronic), priesthood), for the Levitical sacrificial and law system could not give perfection, Christ Jesus did, for through him came full perfection, the forgiveness of sin and the full assurance of access to God the Father, through the cleansing of his blood, and the sealing of the eternal covenant, (heb c13:v20)revelation portrays Christ Jesus as a Priest and Judge, (rev c1:v13), his priestly work for the atonement of sin was completed at the cross, but his priestly work of sustaining the saints continues, as he ministers and intercedes on our behalf, (rev c2:v1, heb c7:v25).

A Title that is ascribed to the Lord Jesus within the new testament, for there is no hope beyond the grave unless ones hope is in Christ, (phil c3:v20-v21), and it is this hope that every believer can trust with absolute confidence, having been giving this hope and promise by the indwelling Holy spirit, and revealing within the heart the resurrection of Christ Jesus, the forerunner of us all, who has entered within the veil of God,(heb c6:v18-v20),thus assuring us of our hope in him.

Let the Lord God plead our case, for he is the righteous judge, and his judgments are true, we as his children are to rejoice in the Lord, when we are being persecuted for righteousness sake, for it is the Lord God who separates the wheat from the tares, the sheep from the goats, giving recompense to those who take pleasure in unrighteousness, bringing upon them the evil of their hearts, (rev c20:v11-v15, john c5:v29).

To persecute and harm a child of God, is to touch the apple of God’s eye, (zec c2:v8).

Jehovah-Jireh(yehovah-yireh,the Lord will see and provide, gen c22:v8).

This is the promise that we the children of God may be assured and encouraged that by trusting and putting our faith within the Lord God, we shall not be forsaken nor shall he fail us,(heb c13:v5) but shall remain with us and deliver us through our trials and tribulations, as he did with Abraham on mount Zion, providing a ram as a substitute for Isaac, and seeing that man had no hope lost to sin, he provided a lamb for the Atonement of sin, that 'Lamb' was God himself, in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ,(john c1:v29), the only 'begotten son of God',(john c3:v16), the saviour of the world, (john c4:v42), mans salvation is the way of the cross, there men and women can at last receive forgiveness, and all the redemptive blessings in Jesus Christ, for the hand that provides and the eyes that see are Jehovah-Jireh.

Jehovah-qadash,(The lord that does sanctify you, exod c31:v13).

The Lord God’s sanctification was here given to the Israelites in his laws, which they had to adhere to, for he is a Holy God, they as the children of God had to be a Holy nation, different from all the other nations, set aside as a 'peculiar people'.

The law of the sabbath was given to the Israelites before any other law, it was a sign of God’s unique relationship with Israel, the keeping of the sabbath was by the Israelites an indication of their spiritual condition towards the Lord God, (jer c17:v19:v27, ezek c20: v12-v24), a day in which Jehovah was to be worshipped and honoured, it commemorated God’s rest after the work of creation, (gen c2:v2), it is the only commandment of the ten, which is not repeated after the day of pentecost, if the Israelites had kept God’s statutes and commandments, he in turn would have fulfilled his promise to them, (deut c10:v15), that is they would have become a kingdom of priests, yet their apostasy from the Lord God resulted in the loss of that promise.

The child of God lives no longer under the law, for Christ Jesus fulfilled all the demands of the law, and we are sanctified by the 'word', (john c17:v17-v19), and by the law of the spirit, (rom c8:v1-v15), for we walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Holy spirit, no longer under the law, but under grace, (rom c6:v14, lev c20:v8, c21:v8, c22:v32, ezek c20:v12).

Jehovah-yasha(I the lord am your saviour, isa c60:v16).

Deliverer, Christ Jesus, the Anointed one, the Messiah, Saviour, Redeemer and blessed, he who saves and delivers from sin, (col c1:v13, john c1:v7), both now and in the future, (rom c6), Christ Jesus the saviour who brings sanctification to the soul, and adoption into the family of God, (gal c4:v5, eph c1:v5), being set aside after conversion, for a Holy purpose, forsaking sin, being conformed into the image of Christ Jesus, (rom c8:v29, col c3:v10), solely consecrated unto God, giving him soul worship, (john c4:v23-v24, matt c22:v37, deut c6:v5).

Jehovah-nakan(the lord who strikes, ezek c7:v9).

A promise from the Lord God that he shall pour out his wrath upon mankind, because of their sin and iniquity towards his Holy name,(isa c21), Israel was not spared from God’s judgments, for the wages of sin is 'death', God forewarned Israel through his prophets, but his cries went unheeded, and they remained rebellious and did not repent from their ways, and man has not learned from Israel’s past experience, and so God shall again pour out his judgments upon man, in what the Lord Jesus termed, the end of the age, (matt c24, rev c16, ezek c38), mans chief purpose is to Glorify God, for this reason man was created, yet from the fall man has always taught his own precepts, forsaking the ways of the Lord God, mans apostasy from God will eventually open the way for the antichrist, (2thess c2:v4),the world in general has rejected Christ Jesus as the saviour, the very religious system of today shall prepare the way for the man of sin, (son of perdition), thus the wrath of God shall come upon apostate man, (2thess c2:v9: v12).

Jehovah-nissi(the lord is my banner, exod c17:v15).

The battle at Rephidim, between the Israelites and the Amalekites was not just a record of one of the many battles the Israelites had to fight, before entering into the promise land, but was the Lord God revealing the importance of obedience, to his children, for deliverance from the enemy shall only come when first we surrender to the Lord God, for when we walk in the light we have victory, because Christ Jesus is in the light, (1john c1:v7) the events at Rephidim had a spiritual significance, the Amalekites represented the world with all its hatred against the Lord God, (john c15:v18, jam c4:v4, 1john c2:v15),the spiritual lesson is simple, the Lord God does not promise to deliver you out of your troubles, but to deliver you through them, from the world the child of God can only expect persecution and tribulation, (john c15:v19, matt c5:v11-v12, rom c5:v3 john c16:v33), but Christ Jesus overcame the world, and he is the banner which the child of God carries, as they fight the good fight, (1tim c6:v12). > Jehovah-raah(the lord is my shepherd, ps23).

The good shepherd of the sheep, in psalm 23, we have the Lord God revealing himself, not only as the good shepherd, but as the great shepherd (heb c13:v20), and the chief shepherd, (1pet c5:v4) in verse 1, the Lord reveals himself as Jehovah-Jireh, verse 2, as Jehovah-shalom, verse 3, as Jehovah-ropheka, and Jehovah-zidkenu, verse 4, as Jehovah-shammah, and verse 5, as Jehovah-nissi, and Jehovah-mekaddishkem, Psalm 23 reveals the out pouring of God’s love.

No greater love was ever shown, than the love of God, hanging on a cursed tree, (gal c3:v13, 1pet c2:v24), Christ Jesus who died for the sheep, (john c10:v11), that the sheep may live, he is the good shepherd, who gave his life so that his sheep could enter in, through the door of heaven, and pass into green pastures, the great shepherd who arose from the dead, the chief shepherd who shall come for his sheep, the only shepherd who can provide the way to God the Father, he is the only shepherd in whom the sheep find peace with God the Father, the only shepherd who can heal our souls, and the only shepherd in which we become righteous, before the Lord God, the only shepherd that can take us into the very presence of God Almighty, the only shepherd who has gone before us and prepared a place for us, he is the only shepherd who is called "Son of the Most High God", and he is the only shepherd who claimed the title, the Great "I AM" (john c17:v17-v19).

Jehovah-rapha(the lord who heals you, exod c15:v26).

Indeed Jehovah does heal as the numerous stories throughout Holy Writ reveals, physical healings is a sign and a testimony to the power and glory of the Lord God, (john c11:v40), but in the story of Mirah, Jehovah-ropheka was not revealing physical healing, but spiritual healing, the healing of the soul, he revealed to the Israelites that instead of grumbling about their lot in the world, they were to be obedient to his word, (exod c19: v5-v6),for his word is truth (john c17:v17), life is often bitter for man, like the waters of Mirah, yet the Lord God showed away to man which was the way of the cross (tree), he was revealing suffering before glory, (luke c24:v26-v46, rom c8:v17- v18, 2tim c2:v11- v12), cross before crown, the suffering of the cross is the obedience of a disciple, the emptying of self and the filling of the Holy spirit, the Lord does not free us from bondage to become masters of self, but a servant of his, a servant of righteousness, it is only when a disciple nails self-worth (ego) to the cross, that the sweet waters flow, the living waters, and that the 'sun of righteousness rises with healing in his wings',(john c6:v35, c7:v38, mal c4:v2, ps41:v4).

Jehovah-sham(the lord is there, ezek c48:v35).

From Ezekiel chapter 40 to 48, we have a description of what is known as the millennium temple, some believe it to a literal temple, while others believe it to be a spiritual temple, these eight chapters of scripture recorded in Ezekiel have been looked upon by many commentators as the most difficult to interpret, but what is true, is the fact that in chapter 43, the Lord God takes possession of it by filling it with his Glory.

There are seven temples recorded in scripture, the first is the Tabernacle 1samuel chapter 1: verse 9, the second is Solomon.s temple, 1kings chapter 6: verses 5-17, the third temple is Zerubbabel’s ezra chapter 4: verses 1-2, the fourth is Herod’s temple, john chapter 2: verse 20, the fifth temple is the tribulation temple in which antichrist shall display himself as God, (2 thess c2:v4, dan c9:v27, c11:v31, c12:v11, matt c24:v15, rev c11:v1-v2).

the sixth temple is the millennial temple of Ezekiel, chapters 40 to 48 and the seventh temple is the Heavenly temple of revelations chapter 21, the first six of these temples are built in Israel in the city of Jerusalem, the seventh temple shall not be built by human hands, but descended down from heaven, (rev c21), there are also seven references in the new testament mentioning the believers as a temple, 1cor c3:v9-v17, c6:v19, 2cor c6:v16, eph c2:v20-v21, heb c3:v6, 1pet c2:v5, c4:v17). the Revelation of the seventh temple, the Heavenly temple, is that the Lord God and Christ as the temple, and this revelation also reveals that the church, that is the body of believers are also the temple, for the Son is in the Father, and the believers in the Son, (john c14:v20).

Christ Jesus is the living stone and the corner stone, the believers are also living stones, being built up as a spiritual house, (1pet c2), within every believer (born again),"God Reigns" "Jehovah-shammah", the Lord is there! Jehovah-shalom(the lord sends peace, judg c6:v23-24).

The Lord spoke unto Gideon, peace be unto you, fear not, for you shall not die, "Fear", is one of the most destructive elements ever to come upon man, Gideon faced such fears, one was from the world, (Midianities), and the other was from seeing the face of God, in the form of the "Angel of the Lord", (gen c16:v13, c32:v30, exod c3:v6),for no man see’s God’s face and lives, (exod c33:v20, isa c6:v5, 1tim c6:v16) yet God gave Gideon peace, the peace that passes all understanding, (phil c4:v7), the blessing that every child of God receives, peace not as the world gives, but reconciliation between God and man, freedom from condemnation, and the wrath of God, the Lord is the source of our peace, we are accepted by faith in Christ Jesus, and are to be anxious for nothing, for Christ shall sustain us in all our troubles and tribulations, he shall never leave us nor shall he forsake us, (heb c13:v5).

Jehovah-tsaba(the lord of hosts, 1sam c1:v3).

This name of the Lord God, emphasises the sovereignty and omnipotence of the Almighty God, as the Eternal One, the Great ”I AM", who controls and commands all the Host of Heaven and earth, the God of Israel and the God of the Redeemed, 1kings c22, luke c22:v19, rev c19:v14, 1sam c17:v45, rev c17).

Samuel was probably the first to use this title of God, he lived at a time which was one of Israel’s darkest periods, for Israel had rebelled against the Lord God, they did every thing that was right in their own eyes, they could not wait on God, (1sam c8:v6), and it can be said we have the same problem today, people do not realise that God’s timing is perfect, Israel at this time in their history wanted a king, yet the Lord God was their king, but they rejected the Lord God, and so their monarchy began with Saul and ended with Caesar, (john c19:v15), samuel was the last of the Judges of Israel, he knew God’s sovereignty could never be disputed, (job c26:v7), and he knew that the ways of the Lord God are just, to the child of God there is only one 'king,'(1sam c2:v10, ps 2:v6:v7, ps75:v3).

Jehovah-tsedeq(the lord our righteousness, jer c23:v6).

All our righteousness are as filthy rags, (isa c64:v6), the covenant to Israel shall be fulfilled, for from the root of Jesse came a branch, a righteous branch, (rom c15:v12, isa c11:v1, jer c23:v5, zec c3:v8), and through him many shall be made righteous, the branch is a reference to Christ Jesus, for he is the Lord of our righteousness (zec c14), he the mediator between God and man, for none can go to the Father, except through Christ Jesus, (john c14:v6), our faith in Christ Jesus is reckoned unto the Lord God as our righteousness unto salvation, in the finished work of Christ Jesus, for in the city of Jerusalem a Fountain shall be opened for the cleansing of sin and iniquity, (zec c13:v1), this description is of the Lord Jesus when he comes to set up the millennial kingdom, a promise to Israel that shall reveal their Messiah, King, Judge, and High Priest, a promise from the Lord God, when all Israel shall cry out, "The Lord our Righteousness",(zec c13v9).

Jesus(the lord is salvation, matt c1:v21).

Jehovah my saviour, Jesus is the same name as the Hebrew Yeshua,(Joshua),(heb c4:v8, acts c7:v45), the name Jesus should never be used flippantly by his disciples, but should always be spoken with reverence, to the world his name means nothing, but to the child of God, he is Lord, Jehovah my saviour, God in flesh, the Anointed one, the most Holy one, who saves his people from the curse of sin and its penalty, (matt c1:c21, rom c6:v23).

Jesus Christ(saviour, messiah, matt c1:v16;acts c18:v28).

Jesus was the Jews expected king and Messiah, but they had shut their minds as to what the scriptures said about his coming and looked for the precepts of their own hearts and minds, they wanted a strong and glorious earthly king to deliver them from oppression, thus they deluded themselves as to the coming of their Messiah, they believed as far back as the Babylonian captivity and definitely at the time of Jesus, that the Messiah was at hand, but Jesus did not fit their expectations, true there are passages of scripture which speak of his coming as being glorious and all powerful, but there are many more which reveal that his coming would be lowly and humble and to suffer and die, (isa c53, ps34:v20, ps31:v5, ps49:v15).

Judge and Righteous Judge(to rule, ps119:v7; rev c19:v11).

All authority has been given from the Father to the Son, Christ Jesus), to execute judgment (john c5:v22-v27), Christ shall sit upon the 'Great White Throne' and with righteousness he shall Judge the ungodly and unbelievers, (rev c20:v11), those who rejected or refused to accept him as their Messiah.

Those who have received Christ Jesus as Messiah Saviour and Lord shall be redeemed and released from sin by his blood, (rev c1:v5), and shall never come into judgment or condemnation, (rev c20:v15).

King of kings(Sovereign, rev c17:v14; c19:v16)

Jehovah, my God, Christ Jesus, God in man, (john c1:v7), worshipped by angels and despised by men, (isa c53), yet every knee shall bend and every tongue confess, that Crist Jesus is Lord, (phil c2:v11), and the Jews shall weep bitterly as they look upon Christ Jesus, their Messiah and King, whom they pierced, (zec c12:v10), far removed from the day that they cried we have no king but Caesar, (john c19:v15), this is the fulfilment of psalm 2, the supreme king, the king eternal, (1tim c1:v17),the king of Israel, (john c1:v49).

Lamb of God(Jehovah-Jireh, john c1:v29; rev c5:v6).

Behold the Lamb which the Lord God provided, Jehovah-Jireh, Christ Jesus, the Lord’s passover, (exod c12:v11), for it was Jesus Christ who accomplished our redemption at the cross, (1cor c5:v7), it was Christ Jesus who was without blemish (sin), (1pet c1:v19), it was Christ Jesus who gave himself freely as the only sacrifice acceptable to the Lord God, (heb c10), and it was Christ Jesus who shed his Godly blood that our sins may be forgiven, and our salvation assured, (heb c9:v14).

Note: that the Lord Jesus is portrayed within the book of Revelation, as the 'Risen Lamb' in all his strength, power and perfection and worthy of all worship, (rev c5) the word Lamb is mentioned four times between Matthew and Jude, and twenty-six times in the book of Revelation.

Last Adam(see Resurrection).

Leader(commander, isa c55:v4).

Jesus Christ, the true and faithful witness, the great shepherd who leads the sinner to 'living water', (john c4:v14), who dispenses the peace that passes all understanding, (phil c4:v7), in that through him we are reconciled to the Lord God, with the assurance that we are no longer aliens, but fellow citizens, members of the family of God, (eph c2:v19), for no one can go to the Father, unless they come through Christ, (john c10:v3, rev c7:v17).

Christ as are commander we must trust and obey, all that he teaches, he is the captain of our soul, and every one who professes and confesses him as their Lord and Saviour, must fight the good fight, (1tim c1:v18), as soldiers we are to give our all,(2tim c2:v3-v4), for we are called to confess before men the truth, (matt c10:v32, rom c10:v10, luke c24:v48), for all that trust him and obey him are his disciples, (matt c28:v19, john c8:v31, c13:v35, c15:v8).

Life(see Author of life).

Light of the world(illumine,john c8:v12; rec c22:v5).

The revelation of Jesus Christ, the saviour of the world, and within him there is found love, truth and life in their fullness, (john c1:v5), through Christ Jesus we become aware of the selfishness and wickedness within ourselves and the world, every child of God through him (Christ) shall walk in the light, that they may become children of the light, (1thess c5:v5, eph c5:v8, 1john c1:v7), for the good news of Christ Jesus is a light to our feet which illuminates the way to our heavenly abode, (ps 119:v105).

Lion of the tribe of Judah(Jehovah the king, rev c5:v5).

The tribe of Judah was the most powerful of the twelve tribes, Judah was given the promise that through his seed, would come the Messiah, (gen c49:v8-v12), Jerusalem was the chief city of Judah, and its 'Emblem' was a lion, ('Ariel', isa c29:v1), is a name which was given to Jerusalem and means "Lion of God", hence the title "Lion of Judah”, applies to Christ Jesus, who prevailed over the enemies of God and man, and at his second coming shall gather the nation of Israel to himself, for in the city of David, the city of God, the city of the Great king, the Holy city, the city of Peace, Christ shall open a fountain for the cleansing of sin, (zec c13:v1).

Living one(Eternal, rev c1:v18).

"I Am" he that lives, and was dead, the power of the 'Resurrection' and Eternal life, the victor of death and hell, Christ Jesus who holds the keys, and all authority over physical death, and the domain of satan, Christ Jesus the second Adam, (1cor c15:v45, rom c5:v12-v21).

Through the power of the Almighty God, Christ Jesus was Resurrected, (acts c2:v31-v32, ps16:v8- v11), and is now seated at the right hand of the Father, which is the place of Honour, (col c1:v15, c3:v1).

Living stone(see corner stone).

Master(leader and guide, matt c23:v8).

Used to denote: Lord, Prince, Teacher, Leader and Guide, Christ Jesus our king, brother and friend, and we his bond-servants, bought with a price (1cor c6:v20, c7:v23), that Christ paid in full, such a gracious master, who intercedes on our behalf before the Throne of God, (heb c7:v25), a Master that not only loves his servants, but is bonded to them by his love.

Mediator(reconciler, 1tim c2:v5).

Christ Jesus reconciles between man and the Lord God, who Mediates through his death on the cross, (heb c9:v15), he gave himself as a ransom for sin, thus bringing in the new covenant, (heb c7:v22), here man can be placed in a right relationship to God the Father through Christ,(heb c8:v6: v13), for it was sin that polluted the relationship, between man and God, (gen c3), therefore Christ became sin,(2cor c5:v21, he took our sin upon himself, and now stands before his Father in the flesh,(his glorious Resurrected body),(acts c1:v9), and mediates for man, as God in man, representing both sides.

Merciful(favour, heb c2:v17).

Christ Jesus God in flesh, (john c1:v1), our salvation cost Jesus his Life, he died upon the cross, that we may live, (eternal life (john c10:v28), it was the atonement at calvary which satisfied God’s holy demand,(rev c5:v12, isa c53:v10, rom c3:v25), it was through the Lord Jesus, that the Lord God demonstrated his mercy (loving kindness), towards us. Christ Jesus the 'merciful' being the very essence of the Father poured out himself unto death,(isa c53:v12), taking upon himself the sin of the world, (john c1:v29), his name is as ointment poured forth, (sos c1:v3).

Messiah(anionted one, matt c1:v16).

Christ Jesus who ascended to the throne of God, the fulfilment of prophecy, Israel’s Messiah, the Saviour of the world, who is established as our 'High Priest' and intercessor before "God the Father", (heb c3:v1, c7:v1-v25, he was Anointed by the Holy spirit (isa c61:v1-v2, luke c4:v18-v21), we are sanctified through Christ Jesus by divine grace, through the same Holy spirit, (2cor c1:v21, 1john c2:v20-v27).

Mighty God(“EL”, isa c9:v6).

Jehovah the God of the 'redeemed', none other than Christ Jesus for mighty where the works that Christ displayed, (luke c9:v43, john c21:v25), mighty was the defeat of satan at the Cross, and mighty shall be his second coming, (2thess c1:v7), Christ Jesus is the glorious and the victorious "Mighty God", in whom if you put your trust, he shall not disappoint you, (ps 125:v1).

Minister(serve, heb c8:v2).

'The Great High Priest', Christ Jesus, 'minister of the sanctuary', revealing his official character, as our 'High Priest', (heb c8:v1), who is seated at the right hand of the Father, the place of Honour, Christ who intercedes for us, (heb c7:v25), our atonement, (rom c5:v11), our fellowship with the Father, and all the blessings we receive in the here and now, and the hope of the here after, (john c14:v3), comes from our Saviour Christ, as he ministers to his children daily, (2cor c9:v10, gal c3:v5), the true sanctuary, the body of Christ, his church, both in heaven, and upon the earth, (rev c7:v14, 1cor c12:v12).

Nazarene(grace upon grace,matt c2:v23).

Prophecy fulfilled, (isa c53:v3, ps22:v6), the Lord God,would raise up from the Jewish nation a prophet, but not just a prophet, (deut c18:v15), what good thing ever came out of 'Nazareth' was the cry of the Jews, in the days of Christ, to be called a Nazarene was to be looked upon as an object of reproach and contempt, (john c1:v46, john c7:v52), yet Christ Jesus was no ordinary prophet, he was "The Prophet", that Moses and Isaiah spoke off, the Great Prophet, (luke c24:v19), the Messiah, the prophet of the new covenant, (heb c8:v6, isa c9:v6).

Only begotten(Christ Jesus, john c1:v14; ps2:v7).

Christ Jesus the only begotten son of the Father conceived by the Holy spirit, (matt c1:v18-v21, luke c1:v27-v35), he was unique, God in flesh, he possessed all the Attributes of the Deity, (phil c2:v6), power and Holiness, (rom c1:v3-v4), and stands before the throne of the Father, as God-man interceding for fallen man, through the power of his resurrection (acts c1:v11, he is the out pouring of God’s love, a saviour who cried and felt pain and grief and death that we who dare to believe in him, shall not have "sin" counted against us, He is our hope of eternal life in the presence of a Holy God, as children of God, (isa c53:v12, john c3:v18).

Passover(deliverance,1cor c5:v7).

Behold the "Lamb of God", (john c1:v29), Christ Jesus the believers passover, his death was our birth, through his sacrifice and our faith in him, we have become acceptable to God the Father, our sins cleansed by the shedding of his 'Godly Blood' the Jewish passover occurred once a year, where a lamb without blemish was sacrificed, and its blood sprinkled over the altar (the mercy seat) by the priest, it was for the covering of sin, but Christ Jesus our passover died once and once only for the total cleansing of sin, (john c1:v29, isa c53:v7, heb c9:v20-v28, col c1:v19-v20, 1john c1:v7, 1pet c1:v19), worthy is the Lamb of God to be worshipped, (rev c5).

Physician(healer, matt c9:v2; luke c4:v23).

A healer in the new testament sense was a person who had the ability to heal an affliction, Christ Jesus as recorded in John’s gospel was the greatest physician of all, (john c21:v25), for he not only healed the body, but also the soul, sin is the cancer of the soul, to die in sin, means to be separated from the Lord God, for all eternity, Christ Jesus took it upon himself, to bear in his body the sin of the world, (isa c53:v6-v12, john c1:v29, 1john c2:v2).

Thus to die in faith with Christ as your Saviour, is to ensure a place in Glory, and to know that your sins have been washed and cleansed by the shedding of his precious blood,(1john c1:v7, rev c5:v9, eph c2:v13).

Potentate(king, 1tim c6:v15).

Power of God(the Lord Jesus Christ, 1cor c1:v24).

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my “WORD” shall never pass away, (luke c21:v33), and the word became flesh, (john c1:v14), in the beginning God spoke and creation was born, (gen c1:v1), the power of God is in the 'word', Christ Jesus was the 'word', (God), who became flesh, (God in man),(phil c2:v6), Christ Jesus spoke and the sick were healed, he spoke and demons fled, he spoke and the multitudes were fed, he spoke and raging seas became calm, he spoke and the dead were raised, (matt c8:v8-v26, mark c2:v1-v6, luke c8:v27-v33, john c11:v43) behold the saviour of the world,"Christ Jesus", (john c4:v42).

Prince of life (see Author of life).

Prince of peace(reconcilation, isa c9:v6).

The peace that passes all understanding, peace that the world cannot give, (john c14:v27, phil c3:v7), the breaking down of the wall that separated man from the Lord God, Christ Jesus who paid the price for our 'Atonement', satisfied the requirement of God’s laws, thus man through Christ Jesus can approach the throne of the Most High God, (eph c2), and at his second coming he shall establish his peace upon the earth, (isa c11:v1-v11, isa c2:v4, mic c4:v3).

Propitiation(satisfy, 1john c2:v2;rom c3:v25).

Christ Jesus the only offering that satisfied God the Father concerning the sin of mankind, for through the sacrifice of the cross, the Lord God Almighty revealed his great love towards fallen man, it was an act of his 'Own Freewill',to demonstrate once and for all, his mercy and grace towards us, (heb c2:v17), Christ Jesus the only begotten of the father became the 'propitiation' for our sin, through the shedding of his blood at calvary, the demands of a Holy God satisfied, (heb c9:v24-v28, rom c3:v25).

Prophet(inspired of God, acts c3:v22).

Christ Jesus both 'prophet and messiah', Moses prophesied that a prophet like himself would one day come forth out of the Jewish people, (deut c18:v15), what is striking in this portion of scripture is the fact that Moses is portrayed as a type or shadow of Christ Jesus, prophet and saviour, as the law was given through Moses, and all placed under its curse, (gal c3:v10-v11), so grace and truth came through Christ Jesus, (john c1:v17), for not only was he the 'great prophet' who uttered forth the words of God, but was himself the living 'word', the living God, (eloah), (gen c1:v1, john c1:v1, 1john c1:v1, john 4:v42).

Purifier(see refiner).

Rabbi(teacher, john c1:v49).

Rabbi: master, teacher, and Lord, a title of dignity, signifying great or chief, it was given by Jews to distinguished teachers of the law, Rabboni was Aramaic which was also Hebrew, it is said that it developed during the captivity of Babylon, it was the language of the common people, and was regarded as the highest title of honour among the Jews, there can be no doubt that these titles where applied to Christ Jesus, the teacher who taught truth, for Jesus was Jehovah “Immanuel”, God with us, (rom c8:v3).

Ransom(redeemed, matt c20:v28; 1tim c2:v5-6).

'Price paid for freedom', freedom from that which puts us in bondage, "Sin", for all have sinned, (rom c3:v23, c5:v12), and the wages of sin, is death, (rom c6:v23), Christ Jesus freed us from the bondage of sin, (isa c53), paid the price, (1cor c6:v20),he fulfilled the demands of the law, releasing the child of God from its bondage and power, (matt5:v17, rom c10:v4), in Christ Jesus we are no longer slaves to sin, but bond-servants of 'Righteousness', (rom c6:v20-v22).

Reaper(lord of the harvest, rev c14:v14-15).

One like the 'son of man', one of the many titles of Christ, he is here revealed as the reaper of the harvest of the earth, be not deceived for God is not mocked, (gal c6:v7), revealed here in the 'Day of the Lord', when Christ shall gather all before himself, and every knee shall bow and every tongue confess, that he is Lord, then the harvest shall be sorted, the wheat,(those who received Christ as their Saviour) to his right hand the place of honour, and the tares, (those who rejected him as saviour) shall be cast into the 'Lake of Fire',(rev c20:v11-v15), everlasting condemnation, (jude 4).

Redeemer(kinship, isa c59:v20; c60:v16).

The Messiah, Christ Jesus, who’s sacrifice at calvary, liberated us from our sin, he paid the ransom, with his blood, (rev c5:v9, eph c1:v7, col c1:v14), thus removing the curse of the law,(gal c4:v5), and releasing us from the bondage of sin, (rom c6:v22), through his grace, (1pet c1:v18), Christ Jesus the fulfilment of God’s promised 'Messiah', the saviour of the world, (john c3:v16).

According to Oriental law, one had the right to redeem their next of kin.

Refiner(purifier, mal c3:v3).

Christ Jesus the 'Purifier and the Refiner' of his disciples,(1john c3:v3, titus c2:v14), for Christ is likened to 'Fire', (mal c3:v2), and the Holy spirit is likened to 'Fire', (matt c3:v11, acts c2:v3), fire is also used as a symbol of God, (deut c4:v24, ezek c1:v4, exod c3:v2), and a sign for his 'Judgment',(rev c1:v14, 2thess c1:v8), judgment beings first with the household of God,(1pet c4:v17), as the Holy spirit dwells within the believer,(rom c8:v9), it is his work as the spirit of truth, to reveal the dross within our lives, and then to create within us a 'clean heart and a right spirit,'(ezek c11:v19), that we may worship the Lord in spirit and truth,(john c4:v23-v24, for everyone who places their hope in Christ Jesus shall be conformed into his likeness,(rom c8:v29), for it is fire which purifies and refines, and the Holy spirit is the eternal flame of the almighty God, (exod c3:v2, acts c2:v3).

Rejected stone(see corner stone).

Resurrection(life, john c11:v25).

The bodily 'Resurrection' of Jesus Christ is at the heart of the christian faith, he is called the last Adam, I was dead but now I live, (rev c1:v18), the first begotten of the dead, (rev c1:v5), the first fruit of the dead, (1cor c15:v20), through his atonement at the 'cross' and by the power of the 'resurrection', we who believe and trust in his Holy name shall be changed from perishable to imperishable and from mortal to immortality, (1cor c15:v53), Christ Jesus the second 'Adam,' (1cor c15:v47), was given as a 'Gift from heaven', the first born from the dead, (col c1:v18), to die in Christ Jesus is to be resurrected to eternal bliss, (rev c20:v4), to die without him as saviour, the resurrection of Judgment, (rev c20:v11-v15).

Righteous branch(see branch).

Righteous Judge (see Jugde).

Rock(Eloah, ps18:v31-46).

Root and offspring of David(beloved, rev c22:v16).

The name David, means "Beloved", Christ Jesus is also given the title,"Beloved", (matt c3:v17), he is the 'Beloved of the Father' who has the very nature and essence of the Almighty, which is "love", for God is love, (1john c4:v8), love is at the very heart of God, without love God would not exist, Christ Jesus is co-equal with the Father,(phil c2:v6), sharing all the Attributes of the Father, the only begotten of the Father, (john c3:v16), the Holy offspring, the beloved, (matt c1:v20).

Ruler(Governor, mic c5:v2; matt c2:v6).

'Ruler in all Israel', a promise that shall be fulfilled at the second coming of Christ Jesus, when his feet touch the mount of Olives, all Israel shall recognize Jesus Christ as their Messiah (zec c14:v3), and from all the nations he shall gather together his own as a shepherd gathers his flock, (jer c31:v10), and he shall rule the nations of the earth, with sternness, (rev c2:v27, ps2:v9), his authority comes from the Father, (john c5:v27).

Sacrifice(redeemption, eph c5:v2).

Christ Jesus the ultimate 'sacrifice', God dying for us (mankind), taking our place and paying the penalty that we were due, (isa c53). the law came from God, and the law was fulfilled by God, (matt c5:v17), upon us he poured out his love, in the person of his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, it was this sacrifice of his son that is 'Final', (heb c10:v12), no other sacrifice is acceptable to the Lord God, for salvation is found in no one else, (acts c4:v12), (john c14:v6), for in Christ Jesus is paid our 'Debt' for our sin, to the Holy and Righteous, and just God.

Scepter(ruler, gen c49:v10; num c24:v17).

Christ Jesus the 'Sceptre' (Ruler) of Israel, for upon him the spirit of the Lord Rest, and with power and divine Authority shall he rule, (rev c2:v27), this scripture points to the second coming of Christ, (ps2:v9), for he is the king of kings, and shall rule with a 'Rod of Iron', (sternness), and Christ is revealed in the New Testament as the “Sceptre of Righteousness”, (heb c1:v8).

Daniel the prophet prophesied that the Messiah’s kingdom will have no end, (dan c7:v9-v14), and in Perfect Righteousness he shall rule the nations of the earth, (rev c12:v5).

Second Adam(see Resurrection).

Servant(servant of Elyon, isa c42:v1).

The New Testament applies this title to Christ Jesus,(matt c12:v16-v21), in Mark’s gospel Christ is revealed as Jehovah’s servant, who humbled himself, although he was God, he took upon himself the role of a servant, that the will of the Father, (the Most High God), maybe brought into fruition, the bringing forth of salvation to the nations, (acts c28:v28).

Shiloh(place of rest, josh c18:v1; gen c49:v10).

A title made use of by Jacob, to denote the Messiah, 'Christ Jesus', among the most loved verses within the New Testament comes the invitation of Christ himself, 'come to me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest', (mattc11:v28-v30), and you shall find rest for your soul, salvation is here offered through Christ, the 'divine promise' that through faith, the believer may enter into God’s rest, (heb c4), and find peace for ones soul, (rev c7:v17, c21:v4).

Son of God(only begotten, matt c8:v29; luke c8:v28).

Christ Jesus who is seated at the ;Right hand of the Father',(luke c22:v69), Christ has received 'all authority' and is invested with all power for he is the 'Resurrection and the life', (john c11:v25), the first born of the dead, the first fruit, in relationship with the father, Christ Jesus is the essence of the Lord God’s nature in power, wisdom, faithfulness and mercy, Christ’s authority is seen in the Resurrection, (john c5:v22-v27), and in Judgment and his deity is asserted in the series of "I AM", (john c6:v35, john c8:v12:v58, c10:v7-v9, c11:v25, c14:v6, c15:v1-v5, which is the claim of “Yahweh.”(Jehovah-Yehovah the “ETERNAL”).

Son of man(heir of all things, matt c8:v20; ps8).

'Son of man', the Messiah, a title which was given to Christ Jesus, Israel’s redeemer, for the Old Testament testifies to one coming, like the 'son of man', (dan c7:v13-v14), which is a reference to Christ Jesus at his second coming, his first coming was that of the second Adam, although he was God, he came in the 'likeness of man', being made in the likeness of sinful flesh, yet he being “Sinless”, took upon himself our sin that we might receive God’s righteousness,(2cor c5:v21), for the first Adam, (man), was given dominion over the works of the creator, (Elohim), (gen c1:v26), but because of sin, (gen c3), the fall, the First Adam, (man), forfeited this dominion, but Christ Jesus being the second Adam has received back all power and authority, and his dominion, (rev c11:v18), in Luke’s gospel Christ is 'Portrayed' as the "Ideal man", filled with compassion and mercy, seeking and to save, (luke c19:v10).

Sower(to draw out, matt c13:v3).

Christ Jesus the sower of the 'Good news',that through him and him alone salvation is realised, (acts c4:v10-v35), the words of Jesus are 'Eternal words', they are not corruptible nor shall they perish,(matt c24:v35), once sown within the heart, they produce light, (truth), a light which shall lead you on a journey to life everlasting, the words of the sower (Jesus), shall reveal the 'Mystery of God',a Revelation that leads unto salvation and the Lord God reaving Himself to you (john c1:v1-v18).

Spirit(Eloah, life giving spirit, 1cor c15:v45).

Christ Jesus is the 'Life giving spirit'the manifestation of the power of God, demonstrating his power in the bodily Resurrection, from corruptible to incorruptible, from mortal to immortality, Christ Jesus is the very 'Breath of Life', who in the beginning Breathed his life given spirit into man so that man became a living soul. (1cor c15:v52, gen c2:v7, hosea c13:v14).

Strong tower(protector, prov18:v10).

The name of Jehovah (Yehovah) is a strong tower, the righteous run into it, and are safe, (2kings c19:v14-v20, acts c4:v24-v33),Jehovah father always in thy hand, f.a.i.t.h., the protector of his children, he who gives hope in all situations protecting and sustaining them, (2chron c14:v11, john c10:v28- v29), our prayers should always be of thanksgiving for the sovereignty and power of Jehovah.

Stumbling stone(see corner stone).

Sun of Righteousness(healing, mal c4:v2).

'Righteous Saviour', “the sun of righteousness arises with healing in his wings”, a title which is given to Christ and refers to his second coming when Israel shall see their Messiah, (zec c14), and shall be healed, (rev c1:v16), where Christ’s face shone like the sun, shinning in its strength, the “God of Glory”, (acts c7:v2).

Surety(guarantee, heb c7:v22).

Christ Jesus 'Our Surety', who not only paid our debts but opened the way to the very throne of God (Grace), thus Christ is our guarantee of salvation, in whom we put our trust, knowing that through him we may draw near to the 'Throne of Almighty God', he is our Mediator and Redeemer, his name and only his name is given unto 'Salvation', (acts c4:v12), he who hung upon the cursed tree, and gave his life, for you and me, (gal c3:v13, 1pet c2:v24, rom c5:v9-v110.

Teacher(see rabbi).

Testator(appointed, heb c9:v17).

Christ Jesus the 'Testator' through whom the new covenant came into force, he was appointed by God the Father to be the 'sacrifice', because he was 'Sinless', the perfect sacrifice for sin, it was his death and the shedding of his Godly Blood, that opened the way for reconciliation between God and man, the everlasting covenant, (2cor c5:v18-v19, col c1:v20, heb c13:v20).

True vine(relationship, john c15:v1).

Israel is referred to in scripture as the vine, vine portrays Israel’s blessings, both temporal and spiritual, (ps80, isa c5), Israel (the nation), as the vineyard, (jer c12:v10, matt c21: v33-v45), was given every advantage by the Lord God to yield good fruit, but only managed to produce evil fruit, (sin), hence the Lord Jesus claim that he is the 'true vine', from which comes good fruit,(our relationship to him) which pleases the Father, (the Lord God), and that only through the grafting of the branches, (believers), unto the vine (Christ), can they produce the fruit which pleases and honours the Father, (Lord God Almighty), (john c15), Christ Jesus is himself given the title "Israel",(isa c49:v3), for only through him are the Lord God’s expectations realised, the restoration of Israel, and the nations, turning back to the Lord God, at the second coming of Christ, (zec c12 to c14).

Truth(freedom, john c14:v6).

The 'Revelation of salvation', divine proclamation, was bestowed upon Christ Jesus, who was full of grace and truth, (john c1:v14), the Lord God, who cannot lie, (titus c1:v2).

Christ not only bore witness that he was the truth, he gave his life for the truth, (john c10: v14-v18), that we who having no hope within ourselves, may come to the truth and receive salvation, (eph c2: v12-v13), for it is the truth that sets us free, (john c8:v32), and it is the truth that 'sanctifies', (john c17:v17), and it is the truth that gives us life, (john c1:v4), yet to many the truth has become foolishness, (1cor c1:v23).

The Way(Holiness, isa c35:v8; john c14:v6).

The 'High way to Holiness', there is away which seems right to man but that is the way of death, (rom c14:v12, c16:v25), Christ Jesus is called "The Way", simply because no one can come unto the Father, (the Lord God), except they come through Christ (the Son), salvation is a gift of God’s love towards man, you cannot buy it, merit or work towards it, but you can accept it, and that gift comes in the person of Christ Jesus, for no other name has been given under Heaven by which you can be saved, (acts c4:v12), he is the narrow gate and the way that leads to life, (matt c7:v14).

Wisdom of God(understanding, 1cor c1:v24; prov4:v5)

If anyone lacks wisdom, let them ask God, and he will give it to them 'generously', (jam c1:v5) that which comes down from above, within the manifestation of Christ Jesus, God the Father reveals wisdom, he is infinitely wise and all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hid in him, through Christ Jesus is revealed the nature and will of "God” the Father", it is written in proverbs 9, that wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars, heaven is the house which wisdom has built, and Christ Jesus is its pillars, concerning the salvation of souls, the good new (the Gospel), is called wisdom, (col c2:v2-v3 1cor c1:v30).

Witness(testify, rev c1:v5).

The faithful and true witness to the Lord God and truth,(john c5:v36), the first born of the dead, (the resurrection of the body), (col c1:v18), the conquering of death and hell, (rev c1:v18), unto salvation, acts c4:v12), to the fact that he is king of kings, (rev c19:v16), and his kingdom shall cover the whole earth, (dan c2:v35), and his Domain, shall be everlasting, (dan c7:v14).

: greek signifying, "one who bears witness to the truth", even at the expense of ones life, (acts c22:v20).

Word(the word of God, john c1; rev c19:v13).

The revealing of the 'Invisible God', (gen c1), (Elohim), who spoke and all came into being, the Lord God who became flesh, (john c1) "God and man", in the person of Jesus Christ, that God may dwell with us, (Immanuel), (isa c7:v14), that we may have a hope, through him “salvation", there is great emphasis put upon "the word", for it is "the word" that we shall stand or fall, be saved or lost, for heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word shall never pass away, (matt c24:v35,rev c3:v8), all things were created by him and for him and through him, (col c1:v15-v17), "from the splendour of heaven, to earth, Christ came to dwell, from the worship of the angels, to the lies that men do tell, from a crown of great glory, which he received from above, to a crown of jagged thorns, from men who mocked his love, in heaven he was known as the almighty, and every creature there in revered, yet upon the earth he was called a blasphemer, and with hatred christ jesus they jeered".
It is through his 'word' that the child of God is 'sanctified', for his word is truth, (john c17:v17, john c14:v6, and the truth is Christ Jesus,' the word of God,' (rev c19:v13).

Worthy(deserving, rev c5:v12).

The Lord Jesus Christ, worthy to be praised for the great work of salvation, (john c19:v30), Christ Jesus who was worthy to be honoured by the Father (the Almighty God), as he was seated at his right hand, (the place of honour), (heb c12:v2), worthy to be adored, not only by those who trust and believe in his saving power, but by all, for every knee shall bend and every tongue shall confess, that he is Lord, (phil c2:v10-v11), worthy because he is the 'Lamb upon the throne', the friend of sinners, (matt c11:v19), the 'seven Attributes given to Christ Jesus', Power, Riches, Wisdom, Strength, Honour, Glory and Blessing, (rev c5:v12).

Wonderful(blessed, isa c9:v6).

And his name shall be called "wonderful",'the Angel of the Lord', said unto Manoah, (Samson’s father), why do you ask my name, seeing it is 'wonderful', (secret) (judg c13:v18), the Angel of the Lord, was Christ Jesus, for in deed he was wonderful, wonderful for all the supernatural things that he did throughout 'time and eternity', wonderful because of his great love towards us, slow to anger and quick to bless, wonderful because he gave everything up, that we may be freed from sin, wonderful because he is the great light, that we may find our way to God the Father, wonderful, because he came into the world to bring great joy, for great joy is what we have when we receive Christ Jesus as our saviour, for he opens our eyes that we may see, and be led along the path of righteousness, blessed is he "wonderful", who came in the name of the Lord, in truth he is called wonderful yet his name is to wonderful for any man to comprehend, (rev c19:v12).

Yahweh and Jehovah(exod c3:v14-15; c6:v3).

The most significant name of God in the old testament, the word Jehovah Yahweh (Elohim, El-Shaddai), was so revered by pious Jews that they substituted it with "Adonai" (headship) "Lord" Elohim and El-Shaddai are all attributes of the Lord God,(Y.H.W.H)(Yahweh), they felt violated the commandment, thou shall not take the name of the Lord your God invain,(exod c20).

Yahweh is mention nearly 7,000 times in the old testament,Yahweh (Jehovah,)(Yehovah ), is the self-existent one, ("The Eternal")It is through God’s many names and titles within scripture, that we are able to come to an understanding of what is within the Lord God’s heart, it is not that man can find God, it is God, who reveals Himself to man.

Jehovah-boraaka (the Lord your creator, isa c43:v1).

I am the lord your God, the Holy one of Israel, your Saviour", (isa c42:v3), (Yahweh, Jehovah, Elohim).

APPENDIXES

SPIRITUAL WATER

Three remarkable things that the Lord Jesus revealed about himself at the beginning of his ministry,

1. His baptism, 2. The wedding at cana, 3. His encounter with Nicodemus, all three are to do with water.

His baptism at the river Jordan, this baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist was the transferring of all human sin to Christ, for John was of the Arronic priesthood, (luke c1: v5) so when he put his hands upon Jesus to baptist him he was enacting the ritual that was laid down by Jewish law concerning the sin offering, allow Zacharias said that his son John would be called the prophet of the Most High, John himself said when ask was he the 'prophet', replied no!, was he then the last High Priest of the old testament, one thing is sure, the Lord Jesus said; among those born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptist,(matt c11:v11), but what is most interesting, is the fact when Jesus came to John at the Jordan river to be baptist, John tried to prevent him, saying it is I who needs baptist by you, Jesus then replied to John, permt this baptist to be so, “for it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness”, (matt c3:v14-v15), this was the Anointing of the 'Messiah', (exod c29: v4-v7; c40:v12; lev c8:v6), the meaning of the word righteousness is to justify, the bringing forth of justification, that throught faith in Christ Jesus and his finished work at calvary we are no longer looked upon as sinners but are accounted as righteous in the sight of the Lord God, for Christ was wounded for our transgressions and he was bruised for iniquities and throught his righteousness we are justified by our faith in him, sanctified, made Holy, acquitted, cleansed, freed, made guiltless, innocent, blameless and shall be unpunished, for Christ Jesus is the (risen) 'Lamb of God' who took away the sin of the world!

2 The wedding at cana, the turning of water into wine, it seems odd that of all the miracles that Jesus could have performed he chose to turn water into wine at the beginning of his ministry, the significance for this becomes clear in verse eleven, remember there had been no mircales or signs performed among the Jews for over 'four-hundred years', (dan c6:v22), it is only in the gospel of John that this mircale is recorded, and called a 'sign', it is called a sign simply for the reason that the Messiah would come first to the house of Israel, as recorded throught the prophets of the old testament and that salvation would come throught the Jewish people, (gen c12:v3; isa c49:v6; gal c3:v8;v16), remember the words spoken by Jesus to the Canaanite women who’s child was demon-possessed, (matt c15:v26-v27).

It is revealed at the wedding that there were six stone waterpots, yet the number six is the number of man, these waterpots were used for temple purification, that is the removal of dust and dirt from their skin, but even with all the rituals that the Jews enacted they could not cleanse themselves from the corruption of their hearts, (sin), indeed there was a way that seem right to them but that was the way of death,(prov c16:v25), the time had long past when the Lord God told the Jewish people that he no longer took pleasure in their sacrifices or their rituals and ceremonies,(isa c1:v11, hos c6:v6, mal c1:v10, matt c9:v13; c12:v7),they were spiritual dead hence the turning of water into wine, wine was used for medicinal purpose, (isa c65:v8, deut c32:v14, 1tim c5:v23), wine was also a symbol for the presence of the Messiah (amos c9:v12-v15), thus the reason as to why the disciples belived in Jesus, (john c2:v11), it was at the wedding of cana that the glory of Jesus was manifested as the Creator (Elohim), and it was the turning of the water into wine that produced a great awakening among the disciples and the birth of Faith, and that is why wine is the symbolical sacramental emblem of the new covenant, (1 cor c11:v23-v32).

3 You must be born again, in his conversation with Nicodemus Christ put to death all of 'mans ideology' and there theology concerning the worship of God and the soul of man, while Nicodemus was a teacher of Jewish law and a member of the Sanhedrin he was spiritually appraised concerning the truth of God, when Christ addressed him he said unless one is born-again they cannot see the 'kingdom of God', to be born-again means in its spiritual context is to be regenerated, (the making of all things new, a new creation, a new man), born from above, to be delivered from sin, and again Christ said to Nicodemus, to enter the kingdom of God one must be born of 'water and the spirit', (john c3:v3-v5), this water is not a referring to water baptism as a means of salvation, nor is it referring to the natural birth of man, for what is flesh is flesh and what is spirit is spirit, for no flesh is pleasing to God, in the spiritual context it means the word of God, (john 15:v3), spiritual water, the same water that Christ refers to when he said; that within the child of God 'flows the waters of life', many believe that it is a synonym for the Holy spirit, this would be in keeping within the word of God itself since the spirit of God was moving over the waters at creation and commanded, “let there be light” (gen c1:v2-v3), from the beginning of creation when the word was spoken by the Lord God bringing all into fruition, to the time when the word became flesh, even to the formation of the new heavens and new earth, everything stands and falls upon the word of God, for his word shall never pass away, (matt c24:v35) for Christ is the word, (john c1:v1-v14), indeed Christ came by water and blood, (1john c5:v8), the water being the fulfillment of all righteousness, and is a reference to Christ’s baptism at the Jordan river by John the Baptist, where christ took upon himself the sin of the world, this was not only the inauguration of Christ’s earthly ministry, it was the consecration of the children of God, (heb c10:v20-v22), the washing of water by the word, (titus c3:v5; eph c5:v26), the fulfillment of all righteousness by the justifying power throught the blood of the Lamb by faith, (rom c5:v1), for without faith it is impossible to please the Lord God, (heb c11:v6).

This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood, and it is the spirit who bears witness, because the spirit is truth, and there are three that bear witness in heaven; the 'Father', the 'Word', and the 'Holy spirit', and these three are one.

And there are three that bear witness on earth; the 'Spirit', the 'Water', and the 'Blood', and these three agree as one, (eph c5:v6-v8), the three that bear witness in Heaven; 1 the father (Elyon! the most high god), (mark c5:v7), 2 the word (Christ Jesus, (Elohim! the son of God), (col c1:v16), 3 the Holy spirit, (Eloah! the living God), (john c20:v22, gen c2:v7).

The three that bear witness upon the earth, 1. the 'spirit', (the Holy spirit, the living God), who indwells within the children of God, consecrating them, thus producing a new creation, (2 cor c5:v17; gal c2:v20; eph c4:v22-v24).

2. the 'water' (the word of God, Christ Jesus himself), (john c1), the cleansing by the word, (eph c5:v26, 2cor c7:v1), being consecrated by the transferral of our sin to Christ, (isa c53).

3. the 'Blood', (the sacrificial Lamb), Christ’s atonement for sin, the complete cleansing of sin past present and future sin, the price paid in full, never to be remembered by the Lord God again, to be made 'perfect' through the Lord Jesus Christ, through his purity we become pure, (Holy), (rev c5:v6-v12; jer c31:v34; mic c7:v19; heb c12:v23; 1cor c6:v20; 1john c3:v3).

The transferal of the sin of the world to Christ at his baptistism gave the rigth to Christ to say your sins are forgiven throughout his ministry, but the forgivness of sin only occurred at the shedding of his blood at the cross (the Atonement for sin), Amen.

MURDER

Thou shall not murder (ratsach),(to murder,), mentioned within the old testment, (exod c20:v13; num c35:v16-v21; deut c4:v42), and is connected with the taking of human life, by premeditation, in the book of Exodus the Lord God clearly states that you are not to murder, and is referring to the premeditated killing of another human being, (the act of cold blooded murder), the punishment for such a crime is 'Death', (gen 9:v6); exod c21:v12-v14; lev c24:v17; num c35:v30-v34; deut c19:v11-v13), it is the Lord God who requires the life of a person who has committed murder,(gen c 9:v5-v6), it can be assured that through scripture capital punishment is established, that is, life for life, for the Lord God holds high the 'sanctity of human life', to murder is an invasion upon the heart of the Lord God, (gen c6:v5-v6), for in the image of the Lord God man was created, thus life belongs to the creator not the created, (gen c 1:v26; c 2:v7), the very soul of man returns to the Lord God as does man’s spirit, and nothing, not man or angels or spiritaul darkness can alter his words, (matt c24:v35; mark c13:v31; luke c 21:v33), it is the Lord God who seeks 'Atone' for the murder of the innocent, and it is the Lord God who pursues it, for the blood of the innocent that cries out before a just and righteous God, for life is in the blood, (lev c17:v11), and it was the Lord God who gave life to the blood, (job c16:v18; isa c26:v21; ezek c24: v7-v8; matt c23:v35;rev c6:v10).

ABORTION

Abortion the termination of a child during pregnacy, and can only be defined 'Biblically as murder', for it consist with the taking of life, in which belongs soley to the Lord God, (gen c2:v7; col c1:v16; 1 corn c8:v6), for the Lord God clearly within his word says before the foundation of the earth 'I knew you', that is before creation, (matt c25:v34; john c17:v24; eph c1:v4; 1pet c1:v20; rev c13:v8, c17:v8), and also the Lord God declares that he knowns the child within the womb, (jer c1:v5; gal c1:v15; jug c13:v3; luke c1:v15-v17), and it is recorded within the book of Revelation that the Lord God records all the deeds of mankind, (rev c20:v11-v12), and I saw a Great white Throne and Him who sit upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. and I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds! when you violate the Lord God’s laws and word, there is a price to pay, for the wages of sin is death, (rom c6:v23).

MANSLAUGHTER

The unintentional unpremeditated death of a person does not carry the death penalty but does carry a prison sentence, (num c35:v11-v34; josh c20:v6-v12), much can be learned from the warnings to Cain, before he killed his brother Abel, look at Genesis chapter 4 verses 5 to 7, here the Lord challences Cain (that is all men), but note the last words of verse 7 were the Lord God says “ you must master it” referring to sin, it is one thing to be tempted into sin but it is yet another to enter into it, it is clearly stated here by the Lord God that man can master sin, true we may be born into sin but we do not have to live in it, the problem that Cain had is the same problem with all of humanity, they fail to overcome sin, true, Christ Jesus took away all the sin of the world, past present and future, but not all accept this truth, they do what Cain did, for it seemed right in his own eyes to do his own thing, remember what the Lord God said to Cain “if you do well will you not be accepted” the word “well” is to be made right, to be accepted! this can only come into fruition when it is done in accordance to the 'word of God', for all that is done outside of his word, is done outside of his will, and to be outside of his will is to transgress against him, (1john c 3:v4-v6), remember man has a free will to decide, (gen c2:v16).

SUICIDE

The taking of ones own life, treated as sacrliege by many within the so-called christian church, there can be know doubt that it is a violation of the very oracles of the Lord God towards life itself, no one person has the right to take their own life, the word suicide is not mentioned anywhere within the scripture, yet the Lord God holds the life of a person very sacred, any violation of human life requires the penalty of life for life, (gen c9:v5-v6), there are many reasons as to why a person would want to take their own life, as in the case of king Saul of Israel who fell upon his own sword, or that of Samson who cried out to the Lord God for strength in the taking of his own life, (1chron c10:v4; judg c16:v28-v30), what is clear is that they violated the word of the Lord God, and they also fulfilled its demand of life for life, I personal am against suicide of any form or name that one likes to call it, these people (those who are suicidal) do not need our criticism, but our love and compassion and help.

MARRIAGE

A covenant with God between a man and a woman, (mal c2:v14), a blood covenant throught the 'matrimonial bed', where the two become one flesh, it is a conenant that can never be broken, it is till death do they part, (gen c2:v23-v24; matt c19:v5-v6), marriage was instituted by the Lord God himself, and is recorded within scripture as being a 'Great Mystery', (eph c5:v30-v32), the relationship between a husband and his wife is to be one of fidelity, trust and love, it is for this reason that the believers are betrothed to Christ as his bride, a chaste virgin, (2cor c11:v2), pure and without blemish, (eph c5:v27-v33), note also in the revealing of this 'Great mystery' of marriage, that in Revealation chapter 19, were the church is revealed as the bride of Christ, that she is clothed in fine linen, the fine linen being the righteous acts of the saints, identifying the bride as the church, (rev c19:v7-v10), note also that peter describes Christ as a living stone, and the saints also as living stones who are being built up as a spiritual house, (1 pet c2:v4-v5), now note revelation chapter 21, when the new Jerusalem was descended from heaven, (v2), there was no temple in it, (v22), for the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are the temple, both titles, the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, belong to Christ Jesus, (john c8:v58, john 1:v29), here the mystery of marriage is revealed, remember the words of Christ to the disciples, “ for as I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you,” (john c14:v7-v20), revealing that all disciples of Christ are within his body, (1cor c12:v27; rom c12:v5), here the union between Father, Sson, Spirit and the Disciple of Christ is complete with the revealing of the temple in the new Jerusalem, note that marriage from the beginning was to be 'monogamous and heterosexual' and was to be 'life long', (gen c2:v24), that is faithful, pure and permanent, and the marriage between Christ and his Bride is built upon a foundation of 'faithfulness, purity and eternity', (rev c22:v14).

DIVORCE

Divorce is a man made conception which was born out of religion, (mans idealogy, and not the word of God, for from the beginning the Lord God made marriage life-long between the man and the woman, and stated clearly that what "He" joined together, no man (one) was to put asunder, (mark c10:v9).

It was moses who made the 'concession' to the people because of the 'hardness of their hearts', that they could put away a wife, (deut c24:v1-v3), but only if the husband found some uncleanness in her, the Hebrew word used here is “ervah” meaning nudity, nakedness, shame or uncleanness which brings dishonour to the husband. Some believe it was to do with some kind of indecent exposure, but the verse reads “ because he has found some uncleanness in her”, which would seem to point to 'unchastity', that she was not a virgin on her wedding day but had given herself to another before her husband.

In matthew chapter 5: verse 32, the Lord Jesus makes it clear that divorce is not an 'option', it is a non starter, for he made it clear that it was Moses and 'not the Lord God' who said you can 'divorce' your partner if they have commited fornication! meaning sex outside of marriage, or adultery,(sex with a person who is not your partner,) or the commiting of some unspeakable immorality.

In a word, if they have been unfaithful and broken the covenant of marriage, but bear in mind two things, 1. that God hates 'divorce', (mal c2:v13-v17), and 2. that you cannot 'remarry again', even if you are the innocent partner who has been wronged, for as long as your husband or wife remain alive, the covenant of marriage remains in force.

The child of God is totally forbidden to seek a divorce, (mark c10:v1-v12; 1cor c7:v10-v11), the Lord Jesus teaches clearly that the children of God are not to 'divorce', nor are they to seek a 'divorce', but should their partner divorce them they must remain in a state of separation (single without another partner) until the death of their husband or wife, or be reconciled to their partner, remember immorality is the only sin in which we sin against our own flesh, (1cor c6:v18, c11:v26-v30).

I am aware that within the so called christian church 'divorce' is rife and that remarriage while your partner is still alive seems to be the norm, but this is clearly man doing what is right within his own eyes, but one must realise that remarriage shall affect your spiritual standing before the Lord God, i.e. you cannot be a leader (elder) within the church of the Lord Jesus Christ, you cannot hold any office within his church, this is the price that must be paid by those who stand outside of God's will, for to remarry puts you outside of his will, it is in direct defiance to 'His Word' in the same manner as Adam and Eve.

Divorce only disqualifies you if you implement the divorce, you are not held accountable for your partner actions, you may ask the question where does this leave those who have remarried while their partners are still alive.

It leaves them in the grace of God, for no flesh is pleasing to the Lord God.

They shall suffer through the flesh as the Lord God has said, yet their soul shall be saved, salvation is not kept from anyone, least of all those who confess 'Christ Jesus as their Saviour', what is flesh is flesh but what is spirit is spirit, and it is the spiritual offices that those who divorce of their own accord or remarry of their own accord cannot hold. (1 cor;1 tim c3).

HOMOSEXUALITY

Homosexuality is condemn from the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation,(gen c19:v24; rom c1:v26-27; rev c22:v15), the Lord God calls it an abomnation, (lev c20:v13), so deprave and gross is this sin that the Lord God said; they would not enter into the kingdom of heaven, and that he would give them up to their own depraved minds, rejecting them totally they have become the accursed, anathema of the Lord God. Such is the sin of homosexuality, that he destroyed all in Sodom and Gormorah, he said; if a man lies with another man they are to be put to death, (gen c9:v24; c19:v1-v5; c21:v9; lev c18:v22; c20:v13, the Lord God calls homosexuals “sodomites and dogs”,(deut c23:v17-v18).

The Lord God also says a woman shall not wear man’s clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord God, (deut c22:v5), and in Jude we are told that the Lord God sent 'eternal fire' on the Sodomites (v7), note that according to Holy writ there are no homosexuals or immoral persons in heaven, some may say that the Lord loves the sinner but hates the sin, but not when the Lord God himself says he gave them over to their own depraved minds, (rom c1:v24-v28), we all have a 'free choice' to chose blessing or cursing, life or death, if a homosexual or immoral person says they are the way because God made them that way, then they must accept his judgments upon them, for He says they shall die in their sin! for the wages of sin is death, (rom c6:v23), the Lord God can only save you from sin he cannot save you in sin, if there is no repentance then there cannot be any forgiveness, (luke c17:v3), and there can be no fellowship within the church with any homosexual or immoral person, (1cor c6:v18-v20; 2 cor 6:v14; 1cor c5:v13; c6:v9; col c3:v5-v11).

INFANT BAPTISM

There is nowhere in scripture that records that Jesus baptise babies or children, and there are several reasons for this, to receive salvation one must believe in their heart, confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, (rom c10:v9-v10), so to be baptise you must hear, understand and believe, repent and confess, according to the book of acts one must repent of their sins before they are baptise (acts c2:v38), that is a turning away from sin and a commitment to worship the Lord God with all your heart, (gal c2:v20; rom c6:v6), there must be an understanding of the gospel message before baptism, (acts c2:v36-v42), no one can be baptised without understanding, (john c6:v44-v45; mark c16:v16), scripture clearly reveals that baptism is only for those who are capable of understanding the gospel message, (acts c8:v12), children where not baptised by Jesus for the simple reason that they are already under “His grace”, remember he took the children in his arms and 'Bless Them' laying his hands upon them, (mark c10:v14-v16; matt c19:v14-v15), and the fact that children have Guardian angels who(minister on their behalf )have immediate exceed to the presence of the Lord God, (matt c18:v10; ps 91:v11; acts c12:v15; heb c1:v14), therefore when a child dies they goes directly into the presence of the lord Jesus Christ, all children throughout the world reguardless of creed, colour or religion. Amen!

SIN OF THE IMAGINATION

Sin of the imagination, (matt c5:v27-v28), the committing of adultery in the heart, and (1john c3:v15), where hatered is classed as murder, (slander, the assassination of a persons character), and (matt c5:v29-v30; 1john c3:v16 ), sins of omission, cleanse me from hidden sins, (ps 19:v12), ignorance is no excuse for hidden sins, (matt c12:v14), study the book of Leviticus to discern what is sinful and what is Holy.

WALKING IN THE LIGHT

As a babe in Christ Jesus we are taught to allow the Holy spirit to led us into the truth, before we are able to walk in the spirit, for there are many voices in the world, sent by the wicked one to mislead you, it is important to know the voice of the lord jesus; learning to know his voice comes through a close relationship, walking closely with him shall only come about through the study of his word, (prov 11:v9; jer c3:v15), and many hours of prayers,(eph c6:v18; james c5:v16).

THE BREATH OF GOD

The two places mentioned where Chist Jesus Breathed into and upon man, were Genisus chapter 2 and verse 7, and John chapter 20 and verse22, the Hebrew word (napharh) means to 'kindle', a primary word to pluff, the Greek word (emphusao; phuo), meaning to 'Germinate' or 'Grow', to 'Quicken', and the Hebrew word for Quicken, is (chayah), meaning to make alive, to 'Revive', give life, and the Greek word for Quicken is (zoopoieo), meaning to revitalize, make alive, 'Give life', and the Greek word for receive is (lambano), meaning to get hold of, or 'to act upon', so it is possible when we read John chapter 20 and verse 22, we read “and when he (Jesus) had said this; he quickened (revived) them, (their spiritual life), and said unto them, get hold of ( act upon) the Holy spirit!”

HOLINESS, HEALING AND SUFFERING

Holiness, healing and suffering, healing comes through Holiness,(1pet c2:v24),but Holiness does not spare you from suffering, (2cor c1:v5-v9), Holiness releases the fulness of the Lord God, (eph c2:v19), Holiness brings you within the will of God, (col c3:v5-v10), Holiness transforms you into the image of Christ, the renewing of body, mind and soul, enabling you to live a Godly life, by the power of the Holy spirit, (4:v24), our struggle is not against flesh and blood, this promise is resolved in Christ Jesus, (isa c53:v5; matt c8:v17; 1pet c2:v24; eph c6:v12),the perfecting of Holiness can only be achieved when you are in awe of the Lord God. (2cor c7:v1).

We suffer when we have not cleansed ourselves from all fleshly or worldly habits, (have not surrendered fully to the will of God), (2cor c7:v10), sickness can also be the result of immorality, sensuality or any impurity, (gal c5:v18-v19; eph c4:v19), suffering (affliction) can also come through satan, (1pet c5:v8), and is always in accordance with the will of the Lord God, (1pet c4:v18; luke c22:v31; job c1 and c2), it is satan’s aim through suffering, to put the child of God into bondage, (matt c4:v10; luke c13:v16; mark c1:v13; c4:v15; 1chron c21:v1; satan may hinder you but he cannot have the victory over you, (luke c10:v19; c24:v49; 1john c4:v4; 1thess c2:v18), satan makes the child of God suffer in his bid to get them to walk out of the Lord’s hand, (protection), yet the Lord God uses suffering within our lifes to produce character, (eph c1:v4-v14; 1pet c4:v19), our problem lies with the fact that many of God children are ignorant of satan’s schemes, (2cor c2:v11), it is one thing to overcome the world, but yet another to overcome self, our faith shall overcome the world, (1john c5:v4-v5), but only full submission to the Lord God will give you victory over 'self,' (james c4:v7-v9; 1pet c5:v6-v11).

All disciples of Christ Jesus are to live Holy lifes, (2 tim c1:v9; 1pet c2:v5; rev c22:v11).

All men who aspire to be leaders within the church of Christ Jesus, must be above reproach, (1 tim c3:v1-v15). Women are not to teach or exercise authority over any man within the church of Christ Jesus, but they can prophecy, praise, pray, preach, etc(1tim c2:v12-v15; 1cor c14:v34-v35.

There is to be no Divorce within the church of Christ Jesus, (1 cor c7:v10-v11).

The will of the Lord God is for his disciples to walk in Holiness and truth, (1john c5:v2-v14, 1john c1:v4). It is the will of the Lord God for every disciple to come to the 'revelation' of Christ Jesus, (gal c1:v12; 1pet c1:v13, eph c1:v17; c3:v3-v5; rom c16:v25; rev c1:v1).

Unless you are Holy, you shall never see the Lord God, (heb c12:v14).

THE DIVINE NATURE

The nine steps to being paratakers of the divine nature of Christ Jesus, it starts with diligence and faith and ends in brotherly kindness and love, (2pet c1:v4-v8), diligence, faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, persevrance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love, and the nine virtues (fruit) of theHholy spirit, (gal c5:v22-v24), love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and temperance, (self-control), to do the will of the father, is to abide in him forever, (1john c2:v17).

TITHES

Tithes a tenth portion of your income to the Lord God, (lev c27:v31), it was an obligation under Mosaic law, and only mentioned in the new testament concerning the priests, (luke c11:v42; c18:v12), it would seem that the church is not compelled to pay a tithe of ten or twenty percent, but are to render unto God what is God’s, (matt c22:v21), the fulfillment of the first commandment, to love the Lord God with your all, (mark c12:v30-v33), The Lord God does not want ten or twenty percent of the child of God, he wants one-hundred percent from his children, since all that we possess belongs to him, for into the world you were born naked, and naked you shall leave, this is not to say that one must give their all to any one church or fellowship, but to were the Lord God directs you, as the Lord has prospered each of us, (1cor c16:v2), for those that are gracious to the poor lends to the Lord, and theLlord shall repay them for their good deed, (prov 19:v17; luke c6;v38, matt c19:v16-v30), to give is based upon your relationship with the Lord God and Christ Jesus, that is to give from the heart, for the Lord loves a cheerful giver, (2cor c9:v7), yet in your business affairs you are to be as shrewd as serpents but innocent as doves, (matt c10:v16), it shall cost you everything you have to follow the Lord Jesus, this is the price that must be paid if one hope to become a disciple, it is not cheap but nor was your salvation, let us therefore not only repent of our unrighteousness, but also let us repent of our righteousness, and cling to the finished work of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus.

MAN’S TRADITION (RELIGION)

It would appear that people only come half way when receiving salvation, but in truth the receiving of salvation is but only the beginning of your salvation, (rom c12:v1-v2; phil c2:v1-v10), that is why faith is so important in the surrendering of self-will, faith is our humility at work and our works are the fruit of faith, the greatest enemy to our soul, is “self”. (ps 66:v18; prov 14:v14).

1 your need for salvation (luke c1:v77).

2 your acceptance of salvation (acts c2:v38).

3 the way of salvation (acts c16:v17).

4 the working out of your salvation (phil c2:v12).

5 salvation realized (rev c19:v1).

1 you must surrender (rom c12:v1).

2 you must renew your mind (rom c12:v2).

3 you must be holy (lev c20:v7).

4 you must overcome (gen c4:v7; rev c2:v3).

5 you must love (1cor c13).
