About Leslie Smith
I was born in 1953; in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I always felt God's calling on my life: at the age of 12 I survived being ran over by a car, with slight injuries; and at the age of 16 I was an innocent victim of the 'Northern Ireland Troubles', when I survived an evil and vicious attack. I was beaten with iron bars and left for dead, but praise be to God; 'He' brought me through with the skill of the surgeons in hospital.
This event was to change my life, as during my recovery I witnessed the death of 4 children due to brain tumours. Their deaths devastated me; and I cried to God in prayer, asking why these innocent children died and evil men prospered. Although I received no immediate answer, a few months later God called my name twice in the early hours of the morning while I was praying.
From that time my life was to be changed completely; as the struggle for my soul was beginning. Although I witnessed to others about the Lord Jesus Christ, I did not fully surrender my life to Christ until I was 28 years old. My ministry began in the fullnes of the Holy Spirit which manifested itself in writing, home fellowships, Good News clubs, prayer meetings, counselling and Senior Citizens clubs. At the age of 50 I was diagnosed with severe unstable angina, which meant that I had to slow down and take thing easier and this was when the opportunity opened up to create an internet ministry.
Kathleen, my wife of 37 years has been by my side in the Lord's work, and we have been blessed with 4 children, all adults now.

Manna Ministries are a non-profit christian fellowship dedicated to educating and teaching about the books of the Bible, we as born-again Christians totally embrace the teachings of “The Apostles Creed” in that; we believe in God the Father Almighty Maker of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ,His only Son,our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy-spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
We believe in the Holy-spirit the Holy Catholic Church; (the universal church which is the body of born-again believers), the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
With the LORD GOD’S blessing, it is the prayer of manna ministries to fulfil the great commission that was giving by the LORD JESUS, to go out and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and the son and the Holy spirit, teaching and preaching His gospel to every creature, in that who so ever believes and is baptized shall be saved, and that through His word our minds may be opened to the understanding of the Holy scriptures by the power of the Holy-spirit, for it is only through His truth, “CHRIST BEING THE TRUTH”, that ensures our intimate relationship to a loving Creator, “AMEN”.
Ministers of the gospel
Manna ministries believes that all “born again Christians” have been consecrated into the ministry of the “LORD JESUS CHRIST” by the very word of God, hence they are called Priests, Ambassadors and are commissioned from their new birth to minister the truth by confessing with their mouths and believing within their heart that Christ Jesus is lord and saviour, as for the offices within the Christian faith, such as apostles, prophets, teachers, healers, workers of miracles, administrators, pastors, evangelists etc, these gifts cannot be given by man, they can only be given by the anointing through the Holy spirit,(the filling of the Holy spirit), for it is the right of the Holy spirit to place a person or persons into office of Christ’s church at his discretion, for it is the holy spirit who is called counsellor, comforter and the spirit of truth, who guides us into all the truth, note also that the word “reverend” (modern versions translate this word as awesome)is only mentioned once within holy scripture, (ps 111:v9), and is totally ascribed to the Lord God not to man.
